Do you believe in love at first sight?
Today’s post is not about writing. It’s not about dogs. It’s about my real life hero and life-long partner.
Early one February, I met my husband, Mathew, and ten days later he proposed. I said yes in a heartbeat. I have no idea how I knew, but I knew he was the man for me. Sometimes you just have to go with your heart.
Six months after he proposed, we were married.
Today, we’ve been married 27 years, and since it’s August 27th, I thought I should share this anniversary.
And in case you’re wondering, I do believe in fairy tales and love at first sight.
What’s your most romantic story?
Thanks for reading…
Happy Anniversary! I’m probably the least romantic person on the planet, but my husband (who is a romantic) has managed to put up with me for 26 years. We were married on a Friday the 13th, in October. I did, however, dedicate The Hanged Man’s Noose to him 🙂

Thank you Judy. I have to laugh at your comment about being romantic. I’m not really either, but getting married on Friday the 13th? I guess you’re not superstitious.

Kristina, I consider Friday 13th lucky! Always have.

Happy Anniversary! My wife and I had something like that. It wasn’t a very long time from when we met to when we married. It’s kind of interesting how some have long courtships while others its not long at all.

Tony, so you to believe in love at first sight. It’s mystery, but part of our lives. Long courtship, short courtship, there is no explanation for what works.

For my wife and me we met in June of 1998 and married in April of 1999. So it was 10 months but compared to other relationships it was not long at all.

Ten months to get organized and married is very short. Congrats to your on the accomplishment. When you know, you know.

Long-term relationships that last for years and years don’t seem like they go anywhere. Of course we live in a commitment averse world these days.

Love this! We’re 37 (yes, I was married while still in school.) I knew after three dates, so I think you may have the record.

Three dates is pretty quick. Is there something about being a writer and falling in love quickly? 37 -Awesome – Congratulations.

Mitzi – you’re lucky your human has so much love for the pups in her life. Even if she meets someone, she’ll still love you. I guarantee it.

yes I know she will always love us. There is nothing worse then a human who is jealous of a dog
